Putin felt 3 to 4 days would be all that was needed to penetrate and take over. Russia may have mass numbers but skill and tactics lack. So you become desperate and do heinous acts when you are the invader. Btw, is any outside force going to stop them?

We are not the worlds police, but Putin is now becoming a threat beyond Ukraine. Have spoken with people in Poland and Scandinavia this week and they are concerned about Putin deploying a nuclear warhead whether NATO gets involved or not. After Ukraine, they feel he's going into Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. Putin wants a NATO war so don't expect him to stop until he gets it.
I sure do hate for the U.S. to be the world police but then there is no longer a need to discuss this here, let the new Hitler have his way. Don't send weapons, don't send taxpayer's funds, just send your thoughts and prayers.
There are no good answers. I don’t see any off ramp for Putin to save face either. He has made it very difficult for any compromise. For him it has to be all about removing Zelensky and establishing a puppet regime. Anything else is a colossal failure.
Agree on the first paragraph. We are now a function of the technology age and the continual images of the atrocities and dead children will create a breaking point for the public sentiment of NATO countries and the U.S. I can tell you by the folks I have spoken with over there, the fear of nuclear Armageddon is real.
Annexing Ukraine for no reason is exactly Hitlerian, nothing says Putin is not irrational.
