Wow is right. I first heard of RU trouble on the news last night, but this is nuts. I wonder how many times cancelled games have happened in the past.

Where did you hear about this ? The official RU athletic website still shows the game as being played tomorrow. I find it difficult to believe that RU would cancel a game, it's season opener in a sold out stadium. If Norfolk State cancelled I maybe could understand it but RU because of 5 players being criminally charged doesn't add up.

On another note, looking at some of the weak-even-for-week-one games and opponents, I wonder if a team might score 100 points today: Rutgers v. Norfolk, Navy v. Colgate, Iowa v. Illinois State, Wagner v. Rice (did I actually see that in the morning line?), Ole Miss. v. Tenn. Martin. Yet UCONN was lucky to beat Villanova by five.
