Rutgers...LOL

I know they had their best player out but it was men against boys....looked really bad.

Besides schiano, who are the last coaches in either football or basketball to leave rutgers on good terms? Rutgers is a coaching career killer. Coaches don't leave rutgers, they get fired.

Speaking strictly on the court, Jordan has sunk them lower than Blaney ever had us. Wow.

But how about basketball or football? I don't even know what sport stringer coaches.

Hoops you have jordan, rice, hill, waters, bannon, wenzel, little paise all fired. Tom Young 20 years ago the last to leave on his own terms?

Football has always been horrible outside of Greg schiano's fluke year, so I assume they have always fired their coaches.

I was hoping this thread would reference the magnificent, the awesome, the unforgettable LOU FROM TINTON FALLS!

His call on Hall Line *almost* takes it up to the Greg from Morristown rant when we beat Rutgers during the Gonzo years - we almost drove off the drove we were laughing so hard. O h my goodness. Sweet.

Anyway, here's the tip of my cap and the toast of my post-game brew glass to Lou from Tinton Falls - and SOURCE for posting the thread (hey - are they the same person!?!?!)

:):D:):D

Rutgers is the perfect example why changing coaches every few years doesn't work.

Funny thing is a caller into Mike Francessa asked about the next RU football coach and Mike replied forget about ever being able to compete in football in the B1G. He said if I were RU I would concentrate on basketball and try to be like Indiana in basketball and football in the B1G. Boy do they have far to go in both.

Ithe also doesn't justify keeping guys for the sake of keeping guys. Replace anyone with the RIGHT person and that's all that matters. Turnover is usually due to poor decision after poor decision, not necessarily IS a poor decision. If the right guy isn't out there then yea hold off

The goal is to win and if in a reasonable time period the program is unsuccessful in reaching that goal you look to find someone else who can achieve that goal and maybe you catch lightning in a bottle the way we did with PJ.

Find the right person and zoom. The Blowhard Pope of Skidmarked Underpants can just fall into Long Island Sound.
