Sen. Tim Scott threw Fox News host Trey Gowdy for a loop on Sunday night by announcing he is ending his bid for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

This is playing out like Sununu thought it would. Let the candidates prove themselves during the debates, and one by one under-performers will drop out; most even before the primaries. Haley and DeSantis are the only two with double digits after Trump. There could be three candidates by the time New Hampshire comes around and two by Super Tuesday.

Trump will have to debate at some point and if it’s 1:1 that’s the best way to attack.

Scott is a great values guy and passionate. He’ll make a great surrogate for the nomination winner.
