The removal of a scholarship is no big deal. Plus, it's only 1 scholarship for 3 years. They just arrange that money via a NIL deal.

What a farce ! Self ( no pun intended ) imposed sanctions are designed to minimize the impact of any sanctions that would be imposed by the authority charged with assuring that any rules or regulations are adhered to and any transgressions receive an appropriate sanction. In every case I can recall where self imposed sanctions are imposed the NCAA has accepted those sanctions despite the general consensus that they are not reflective of the violations committed. Self regulation doesn’t work especially when it comes to the NCAA regulating college sports and as long as the NCAA permits it sanctions, especially against name programs , will be nothing more then a slap on the wrist.

Is anyone actually surprised? If I recall correctly, University of No Classes didn't even get the requisite slap on the wrist.
