Seton Hall Announces 2021 Fall Volleyball Schedule

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall volleyball team released its 2021 schedule on Tuesday. Head coach Allison Yaeger and the Pirates will prepare for 32 contests overall, including eight home dates at Walsh Gym and 18 BIG EAST Conference games.

With renovations to Walsh Gymnasium on-going, the Pirates won't play their first home match until BIG EAST play begins in late September.

Before BIG EAST Conference play begins, the Pirates will compete in two non-conference midweek contests and four weekend tournaments including the Utah State / Weber State Tournament, the Fairfield Invitational, the Big Apple Tournament and the UNF Invitational.

Seton Hall will begin the season on the road with three matches at the Utah State / Weber State Tournament in Utah, August 27-28, a homecoming for senior Emilee Turner (Kaysville, Utah). The Pirates will open the season at Weber State in Ogden, Utah on Friday, Aug. 27 at 1:00 p.m. ET. They'll then head to nearby Logan, Utah for a contest against North Dakota later that day. On Saturday, The Hall finish the trip with a match at Utah State at 1:00 p.m. ET.

The following weekend, the Pirates will play three matches at the Fairfield Invitational. Seton Hall will face Kent State on Friday, Sept. 3 at 3:30 p.m. The next day, the Pirates will face host Fairfield at 12:30 p.m., followed by another local foe, Hofstra, at 4:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Sept. 7, the Pirates travel to Marist for a mid-week contest at 7:00 p.m. The Hall will then return to the road, Sept. 10-11, for the Big Apple Tournament, hosted by Columbia University. The Pirates will begin the tournament against Iona at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. They'll then face Saint Francis - Brooklyn at 10:00 a.m. and then host Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.

For its final non-conference tournament of the season, The Hall will head to the UNF Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla., September 17-18. The Pirates will open the event against Florida International at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, before facing Middle Tennessee State at 4:30 p.m. On Saturday, Seton Hall will take on host North Florida at 5:00 p.m.

The Hall will round out non-conference play with a contest at nearby NJIT at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 21.

Seton Hall will open BIG EAST Conference play on the road against Connecticut on Sept. 24, before making its home debut at Walsh Gymnasium two days later against St. John's at 2:00 p.m. Additionally, the Pirates will host Providence (Oct. 1), Creighton (Oct. 2), Xavier (Oct. 22), Butler (Oct. 23), Marquette (Nov. 5), DePaul (Nov. 6) and Connecticut (Nov. 13).

The top four BIG EAST teams in the final regular season standings will again battle for the conference championship and its automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, beginning on November 26.
