South Orange, N.J. - Faced with the prospect of losing a multitude of revenue streams in 2020-21 that help fund the Seton Hall student-athlete experience, the Department of Athletics has launched the Pirates Pitch-In Campaign to ensure that student-athletes continue to receive the resources they need to succeed and maximize their personal potential.

As of now, due to the continued COVID-19 pandemic and the current State of New Jersey guidelines, fans will not be allowed to attend Seton Hall's men's and women's basketball games to start the 2020-21 season. The department will continue to monitor the landscape of the pandemic and will continue to make decisions based on state, local and University guidelines to protect the health and safety of all participants. If conditions do allow for fans to be in attendance at some point in 2020-21, tickets will only be made on a single-game basis.

In a letter to fans, Seton Hall Director of Athletics & Recreation Bryan Felt said, "We are significantly disappointed that we will be unable to have our loyal Pirates fans at Prudential Center and Walsh Gymnasium cheering on our basketball for the onset of this season. We will continue to monitor the situation as this year progresses."

As a result, 2020-21 season ticket holders have the following options: convert their season ticket purchase and/or Priority Seat Premium into a 100% tax-deductible, charitable donation to Pirate Blue; credit their purchase towards the 2021-22 season; or request a refund. The Pirates Pitch-In Campaign is encouraging season ticket holders to convert their monies into a Pirate Blue donation to help Seton Hall Athletics ease the financial strain brought on by the pandemic. Season ticket holders who elect to convert funds into a donation will receive free cutouts for their allotted amount of seats to display at basketball games. To take advantage of this offer, season ticket holders must contact the ticket office at (973) 275-4255.

Pirates fans who are not season ticket holders can also pitch in by either purchasing a cutout to display at basketball games or making an outright donation to the Pirates Pitch-In Campaign through GiveCampus.

Who has already taken action regarding your tickets and what did you decide to do?

I have a media pass which allows me to donate that unspent money back to the Hall.

Doing the same this season.
