UCONN, St. John’s, Creighton all laid eggs in their tournaments and Xavier and Providence each lost their first games. Compared to these performances the Pirates did quite well. Let’s hope that they can keep it up in the Big East which is obviously down. Go Pirates!

After the early losses we suffered, I think winning two out of three was a pretty good result. The team is still growing. Hopefully they can figure out a way to maximize their potential before conference play, because the team that I see playing is not gonna tread water long in The Big East - down year for the conference or not.
