Seton Hall Opens 200 Level Seats at Prudential Center for Feb. 18 vs. Villanova

when they open the balconies, hopefully they extend the student section into one of the sections behind the normal lower level student sections.

Those sections are general admission. Many young alumni have their seats there. Students flow into those sections for many big east games.

are we currently going head to head with Nova for any recruits? Outside of my own general annoyance of having a neutralized home court;this is the only real concern IMO. Seems to me that Nova diversified to a certain extent away from NJ/NY recruiting market. I'm sure there are are a few out there that list us both, but it seems like it's been a while since we've gone toe to toe with them for a recruit.

Quinerly is one recruit, off the top of my head, we are competing with Nova for.

I'm sure several others as well.

for anyone who went to the BET Final at MSG last year; I'd say it was probably about a 60/40 split of Nova vs. SHU fans; maybe even 65/35.

Exactly and it was electric for the Hall.
This time we will have the numerical advantage should be a great atmosphere.

That was different. There was no home court involved.

Let's give some credit to our fan base. They certainly are not what we want but some of these dire predictions are ridiculous.

The atmosphere is going to be electric. Probably the best since our FF year. What better way to showcase our program to potential future recruits?

This is a very good thing for Seton Hall.

I can't see this being as electric as 1989. The Georgetown game in 89 was a sell out but 95% Seton Hall. That was electric,

This game may remind us of the games when UConn came to the Meadowlands during the Blaney era and would take our home court over. I hope that doesn't happen because it is an awful feeling.

At the end of the day it's a very important game on our schedule. The team needs to take care of business on the court. Right now at 1-1 in the conference we still look like we'll be on the right side of the bubble.

I don't believe either team is as good as last year. Both programs are in a good place. Why don't we see how this experiment with a good deal of upside works out. It's our house and the Nova fans can't control the atmosphere. The SHU fans should look at it as a challenge. The students certainly can bring their A game. I think Nova will lose a few games by that time.

Yeah, having a big time atmosphere is dumb. Are you serious? Never thought you were a "think small at Seton Hall" kind of guy.

We're not there yet in terms of numbers at the games. I wish we were, but we're not. If you want a big atmosphere, make it a hot ticket that sells out easily b/c there's only 10k seats. It has to grow organically over time. Win consistently. That makes people want to come to even some of the meh games, so we have a solid 7-8000 minimum in the seats (not just "distributed") for almost every home game. Get people trained to know they have to act quicker to get into the big games. Then a few years down the line where we have more fans coming out, move to opening the top.

Instead you gave everyone an out by opening it up later so no one had to TRY for the tix. That kills the demand & takes away the hot ticket idea around it, and kills the ticket buzz a bit.

We're going to lose the home court advantage b/c alot of Nova fans will now pour into the building. The most important thing is the win, not the numbers. Our fans are pahetically docile at games. A sold out lower bowl that was predominantly SHU fans would ramp people up a bit more. Now we're gonna hear Nova fans almost as loud if not louder than us at the game, killing the vibe. I don't like it.

Villanova fans are going to be there no matter how good we are. That's just the way it is. Their campus is a quick drive away on a Saturday with no traffic. They have a ton of alumni in the area.

I like the rivalry that is developing between the two schools. It seems to be growing every year and I think that will continue. That's a good thing.

We don't lose homecourt advantage. It's our building. They get the visitor's locker room and don't have the comforts of home. They're coming here to play us. We will have the majority of the fans.

not enough of a majority imo once you open the whole place up to ticket sales. Their fans will come out in bigger numbers now than they would have if it was just the lower bowl. I don't trust our fans yet, part. when our team isn't playing great, fundamentally sound ball so people still aren't sure how good we are. One side of this argument will be right, and one will be wrong. I would love for it to be me, but i'm still a pessimist most of the time when it comes to SHU bball.

I'm confident we'll have a solid advantage. The later in the season, the more SH fans come out. That is just human nature, especially when we have a decent team.

Still $34 200-level tickets available.

There is not a mad rush of Nova fans buying all of the tickets folks. If you have someone's birthday coming up and they are SHU fan, get them a pair of tickets as a gift. Or buy the tickets and then re-sell them at cost to Pirate fans that you know. The casual SHU fan is probably not aware that tickets are still available.

And around 990 are being re-sold on Stubhub right now too. By season tickets holders and ticket brokers more than likely who are selling. Take a look there too if you want tickets in the lower level.

Tix in the upper 200 level are still available.

They now have them listed on the other side, Section 229.
$34 is the ticket price,
If you buy through Ticketmaster there are extra fees.
Or avoid the fees and buy at the Prudential Center box office or through Seton Hall.
