Yes I know a 1/1 ratio is not good. But at least we're getting better. Plus you won't get assists if you don't shoot well from the field or especially from the arc and that's an issue with this team.
Most 3 point makes include an assist.

True, but the three point shooting at 33% isn't horrible. That ratio needs to improve which I think it will as IW gets more comfortable.
Veer's 3pt pct will improve (minutes and wrist healing)...although I don't think Gordon's will. Given the athleticism on the team, I thought blocks/game would be a bit higher too.
Clearly we're hanging our hats on our defense. The offensive stats are average at best.
If this team plays better O the outlook moving forward will be very positive.
It's almost a given at this point that he's gonna swat away the opposition's layup attempt in the open court if he's anywhere near the basket...
Hes confident in his abilities on both ends of the floor. the amount of chase down blocks hes having is reminding me of Kobe. Thats a good thing.
you know what Dan - if it is the same play I'm thinking of, I thought he may have gotten away with a little body contact there. Probably a good no call, but I've seen worse called...I was actually waiting for the whistle to blow.
IW's ability to block shots is nice but I would like IW's overall off the ball defense to improve. He sometimes is too focused on help side d that his man gets away from him.
There was at least 3 times in the depaul game, when I thought IW is really sagging off of his defender, then immediately a quick pass and depaul drained a relatively wide open three pointer.
With that being said, IW has been really good of late. It will be interesting to see if he continues to make better decisions on the road against top 15 teams.

Shooting 65% from the charity stripe, which puts us at #283 overall among Division 1 teams. Absolutely atrocious. We are going to lose a lot of games because of that stat. Boggles my mind that our guards shoot less than 80%.
