- The Seton Hall men's basketball team is in search of its fourth consecutive BIG EAST road win as the Pirates travel to Queens for a midweek showdown against St. John's at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday on CBS Sports Network.
- Wednesday's game will be a homecoming for multiple players and coaches, most notably head coach Shaheen Holloway, who grew up in the South Jamaica section of Queens located five miles from the St. John's campus:

- This will be the Pirates' first game at Carnesecca Arena with fans in attendance since the 2014-15 season when St. John's defeated The Hall, 85-72.
- Seton Hall has won six of its last eight games after starting off 0-3 in BIG EAST play.
- Seton Hall's strong play recently has been sparked by its defense, which leads the BIG EAST in field goal percentage defense (40.4 pct), scoring defense (63.7 ppg) and ranks second in three-point defense (29 pct).
- The Pirates' three-point defense ranks 15th in the country and their opponent's field goal percentage ranks 40th.
- The Hall is allowing a league-low 33.3 points in the second half of BIG EAST games this season.
- Seton Hall has held five opponents to under 50 points this season, the most since 1951-52 (7).
- The Pirates are 13-1 this season when they hold their opponents to under 70 points.

- Ndefo is averaging 11 points, seven rebounds, and two assists over the last four games.
- Junior Kadary Richmond (Brooklyn, N.Y.) leads the Pirates in scoring (12.8 ppg), rebounding (5.8 rpg) and assists (4.7) in BIG EAST play.
- Richmond was high school teammates with junior Femi Odukale (Brooklyn, N.Y.) at South Shore High School in Brooklyn.
- Odukale has provided shutdown defense as a 6-5 guard and is averaging eight points, five rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 steals in BIG EAST play.
- The Pirates rank 18th in the country in free throw attempts per game (23.2 FTA pg) and rank 29th nationally in free throw makes per contest (15.8 FTM pg).
