South Orange, N.J. — The Seton Hall volleyball team is ready for the 2022 season and under new head coach Shannon Thompson, the Pirates are excited to see fans pack historic Walsh Gymnasium! The team's promotional schedule is now available with exciting themes and giveaways that will bring fans in to cheer on the Pirates!
Most of Seton Hall's home matches will take place on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the fall with a few midweek matches sprinkled in, including the home opener next Tuesday vs. Hofstra.
Please note some promo/themes nights are still being finalized and more details will be shared at in the coming weeks.
Pancake Night!
Tuesday, August 30 vs. Hofstra - 7 p.m.
- As the Pirates battle the Pride in their home opener, students are invited to free pancakes and bacon while supplies last!
Friday, September 23 vs. UConn - 6 p.m.
- Students in attendance can swipe their Seton Hall ID at the marketing table to help their residence floor win a pizza party, courtesy of Seton Hall Athletics!
Friday, October 7 vs. DePaul - 6 p.m.
Saturday, October 8 vs. Marquette - 4 p.m.
- Calling all youth volleyball teams! You're invited to watch the Pirates take on the Blue Demons and Golden Eagles! After both matches, the Pirates will hold an autograph session for youth teams!
Friday, October 28, vs. Creighton - 6 p.m.
- Seton Hall will honor those afflicted with breast cancer.
- Members of the team will throw pink t-shirts into the crowd during team introductions and also give away mini pink volleyball stress balls.
Saturday, October 29, vs. Xavier - 5 p.m.
- All kids and students are invited to attend the match in costume and participate in "Trick or Treating" in the lobby prior to match starting!
Faculty Appreciation Night, Title IX Celebration & Water Bottle Giveaway
Wednesday, November 2, vs. St. John's - 6 p.m.
- The Pirates, boasting one of the top team cumulative GPAs in the department, will invite professors of their choosing and honor them during pregame!
- In honor of the 50-year anniversary of Title IX, fans will walk through a display of quotes from members of Seton Hall community on what Title IX means to them.
- The first 250 fans in attendance will receive a free insulated Seton Hall water bottle!
Friday, November 18, vs. Georgetown - 6 p.m.
- All fans are encouraged to wear white to white out the Hoyas!
- The first 200 fans in attendance will receive a white rally towel!
Saturday, November 19 vs. Villanova - 6 p.m.
- Pack Walsh as Seton Hall's senior class will be honored in their final home match.
