Only took eight 3's as UCONN was really keying on Dawes. Great game plan to attack the rim.Seton Hall was up four when he picked up his third and went to the locker room with what appeared to be an ankle injury.
Which helped Seton Hall continue to attack the rim and dominate in the paint.
I am most shocked by the fact that they win this game making only 3 - three point shots.
Was it our 3 point defense or was their shot selection bad or just a cold night?Suspect it was a combustion of all three.Seton Hall was up four when he picked up his third and went to the locker room with what appeared to be an ankle injury.

Have no idea what you’re talking about. My post was in reference to Seton Hall only making 3 - three point attempts. I assumed we would have had to make a lot more to hang with them. Was it our 3 point defense or was their shot selection bad or just a cold night?Suspect it was a combustion of all three.
Anyone surprised that a Uconn player immediately grabbed his hand and helped him up? His face said it all, he was in a lot of pain. I'm not sure why they didn't let him stay down and wait for the trainer.Tweaked his ankle, possibly a sprain.
Great points. I think with Bediako in, we were actually switching 1 - 5 at times. He is amazingly agile playing d 20 feet from basket. Also why our pick and roll d is so much better. He can hard hedge and recover to his man. Something Samuel could not do and EHE has to work on.Have no idea what you’re talking about. In regards to UConn’s long distance futility. I attribute this to 3 things.
1. The Hall did an excellent job of switching 1-4 on the perimeter which negated a lot of their off the ball screen action.
2. Bediako did a great job of hedging the pick and roll action. UConn did get some dive action to the rim in the first half but it minimized the 3 point looks.
3. Lastly the Clingan injury had a major impact. In the first half the Huskies made a conscious effort to feed the post which caused us to double team. If he played the entire game, I think you would have seen some more open looks with the ball getting kicked out of the post. Johnson conversely was a non-factor and created a big edge for the Hall.
All once Richmond came off the bench at around the 8 minute mark.We had a few big possessions after going down 20-10 and things were teetering. There was an immediate 6-0 by The Hall (Wusu/Davis 3's). Then Clingan scored, and Richmond got an OR and-1 play to make it 22-19. We got a stop and another driving layup from Richmond to make it 22-21, then another stop and a quick 2 from Richmond who was in the post and backed down Newton for a 23-22 lead.
I thought that was a huge swing. Crowd was popping. A rapid 13-2 run.
