SHU alum doing his first NBA broadcast

I've gotten to know John some thanks to Halldan's introduction a few years ago.

Very nice guy. The earnestness that you see on broadcasts is a reflection of John's personality. I'm very happy for him. This is a plum assignment.

Recently out of college and already working an NBA game.

Talk about an upward trajectory.
was just thinking of this. this is meteoric. i know a guy who has been trying to break through in hockey. theres not many openings. the new big east benefited fanta as much as shu with this fox programming

yes go tell that to john fanta. theres no less defense in the nba than college basketball. it just looks that way because they can actually hit wide open shots. bet its one of the biggest nights of his life.
Defense in NBA is unbelievable as is talent if every player on every roster.

There is false narrative that there is no defense in the NBA. The NBA just spreads the floor and the players are so unbelievably talented its difficult to stop them.

However, I understand if some people don't enjoy the pace of play in the NBA. The pace of play is so incredibly fast (average possession is 14 seconds). Some people find that exciting others find it chaotic.
