About 2 weeks ago I posted that a contact had golfed that day with Jim Boehiem and he noted that he expected the Syracuse coach to stay on the job one year, two at most before he would retire.
He told me as I noted then that Boeheim was both worn down by the very long grind and that he wasn't happy coaching in the ACC.
Yesterday's news came out that Boeheim will be retiring in 3 years but I have been told that it's possible he leaves a year earlier than announced.
BTW, this was the same contact who told me that Mullin would be the next SJU coach months before it became common knowledge and allowed me to post that news here at the time.
