Regarding the NYPost article. If IW leaves and gets drafted in the first round all the power to him. I will be proud and root for him for the rest of his pro career.
I am very happy he has come here and the past 1-2 months have been great. I am enjoying the ride.
But can we say that SHU is really back? We may not make it past round 1 or 2. And if IW leaves we may not make the NCAA next year. Think of all the points, blocks, rebounds and assists we'd be missing.
Selfishly I hope he stays next year and continues to grow with his teammates. Selfishly I hope KW can land a few more Top 50-100 recruits and we make another NCAA next year as a 5+ seed.
That would put SHU back on the map.
Just not sure 1 NCAA bid as a 7-9 seed means we are "back".
Again not meant to attack anyone or the team. Just some thoughts about IW potentially leaving, him putting us "back on the map", the future with/without him, etc.
Thoughts?
