SHU loses to St Joe's 2-1

Final score was 2-1. Tied nil at the half.

Grandfather of a St Joes' starter called me with the score. His take:

1. Our facility far better than St Joe's.

2. 700-800 SHU students there. Also impressive. Students stuck around on a Friday night! (My words: And tom'w the City is just a quick train ride away- not many schools can offer that kind of diverse weekend activity)

3. Pre- game 9/11 ceremony top notch.. Anna Negron sang a very nice national anthem

4. Game could have gone either way.

I know we lost but we have a young squad but this is another women's program on the rise.

Not for nothing but we're in the Big East, our facilities should be better than St. Joe's! Our soccer and baseball facilities still need a lot of improvement (better/more seating, concession and fan stands as well as bathrooms) but we should still have better facilities than a mid-major school.
