NIL isn't an easy sell, as you're asking people to donate their hard earned money to compensate full scholarship athletes for their name, image and likeness. This, in an effort to keep your beloved team and university relevant in this wild, wild west era of college athletics. Seton Hall is at a disadvantage due to its size and lack of public funding, the approach needs to be multifaceted and well publicized.

We need to educate folks about the impacts of NIL and give them a reason to financially support the cause. A well thought out website and targeted social media presence will enable us to get our message out. Information is the key to success.

Seton Hall must embrace every opportunity available, or risk becoming irrelevant in college athletics.

Our strategy needs to include:

- Assistance from wealthy alumni who keep the university and athletics department afloat.
- Soliciting corporations to provide NIL opportunities for athletes. This takes some weight off alumni and fans.

- Crowdfunding which provides a recurring source of revenue from supportive alumni and fans. Crowdfunding can garner support from people who have no interest or affiliation with Pirates basketball, through appealing fundraising events.

These opportunities currently exist in our alumni and fanbase. Bring Eric, Jcalz and HHOD together and maximize the potential we have to elevate the program and university. A multi-pronged approach is our best hope for success.
