I'm going to continue to push this daily.

For it to continue, and believe me it's a fantastic event, we need tickets to be sold in high quantities

Please help out with just a few weeks to go.

Just purchased two tickets. Hallrox and I had a great time last year sitting with Ike Obiagu and Glenn Mosley. And right next to Jerry Walker, Danny Calandrillo and other Pirate legends.

Look forward to the same this year.

For what it's worth, Connecticut has a dinner event that started with just one player at a time but worked its way up to having as many as three from different sports. They have it a few times during the season and a couple more during the off-season. While it's not an apples to apples comparison, I can say that people who have gone have loved them as you get terrific access to the individual players. Players love them because 1) they get paid to attend and 2) They get to interact with fans and really get a sense of how much they matter to the fans of the program. The host restaurant owner loves them because he's a big fan of the team and because he gets unprecedented traffic on those nights Everyone wins.

This sounds like a terrific event and if I was a fan of either program I would definitely attend.

Sales are lukewarm. This is an NIL event guys. We have to do better if we want to continue to enjoy Big East basketball. This dinner will be one of the highlight evenings of the season, as it was last year.

So many people here complained for over a year about the school not doing anything as regards NIL. Now that we are, most everything has been lacking from our fanbase.

The good news, Dave Popkin just bought tickets for the event and although I'm not sure if he'll take the mike. I do know every fan will enjoy talking to him. As cordial and knowledgeable as anybody associated with the program.

Not that the bunny's event was bad but this event is virtually the same price and you get so much more for the buck
Wish I'd known

Still plenty of time to purchase a ticket.

SHU fans will be sitting with or very near to Richmond, Dawes, Morton and Harvey.

That plus a 3 course meal and open wine and beer bar at McLoones is one hell of a bargain.

And a good deal of the money goes to SHU's NIL.

Dan. Maybe reading too much but you say If we want to continue to watch Big East basketball….

Out of curiosity, since it's an NIL event for both, do SHU and RU split their cut 50/50 or is each school's cut independent... On their own ticket sales or something?

Let's hope that it's a 50/50 split because we are not doing our share.

Good news. Thursday I spoke to the Front Office guys and sales were lagging. Last night I was told a strong number of SHU tickets were sold in the last 2 days and now the two schools are about equal.

There is now about 30 tickets left for a sellout. Let's fill those 30 seats with Pirates.

Hope so but more important is that we have a big Hall turnout at the game and keep ru from buying up remaining tickets .

That's not been a problem in the past and greatly exaggerated.

The crowd will be by far dominated by the Pirates.

Dan, is the lower level already officially sold out?

I know suites are available through Prudential Center but are primary tickets on the lower bowl gone?

I’d imagine SHU would not want to hold back large blocks of tickets until it’s too late to sell them

I'll be there tonight with HallRox and report on the Trove.

Pirate fans really stepped up late and the attendance might slightly favor the Hall.

Major kudos to all involved. The 3 1/2 hour event was fantastic and for our Trove readers I have an in-depth summary of that time.

Here, if anyone who was in attendance wants to comment, fire away.

There was a photographer at the dinner so I assume the Front Office will eventually have pictures posted on the site. If so, I will bring them here.
