The United States of America celebrates its 241st birthday on Tuesday and its pastime is at the center of the birthday festivities. Most baseball games provide fireworks afterward, but Seton Hall players have been providing plenty of them during their games in summer league action across the country. Here is the best of what they've done over the past week.

The Ocean State Waves of the NECBL have cooled off after winning 10 of their first 11 games, but Liam McArthur's bat has stayed hot. In a 14-1 drubbing of the Danbury Westerners last Tuesday, the rising junior went a perfect 3 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored. As of Monday, he is hitting .318 in 12 games played. Mike Alescio got off to a slow start, but has picked up over the past week. He has gotten a hit in each of his last five games and is hitting .300 (6 for 20) over that span. In a game shortened by rain on Friday, Ryan Ramiz was a major cog in the Mystic Schooners' win over the Sanford Mainers, ripping a two-run double in the bottom of the first inning in the 3-1 victory. As of Monday, he is hitting .333 with three RBIs in 11 games.

Meanwhile in the ACBL, Rob Dadona has stayed consistent at the plate with his hometown Staten Island Tide. He notably had two RBI singles, a big difference-maker in a 6-4 win over the North Jersey Eagles on Wednesday. In total, he went 3-for-5 with a stolen base. Dadona has a .333 average and has asserted himself as one of the top position players in the league.

Christian Del Castillo drove in his first run of the summer for the South Florida Huskies in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday. In a 4-3 loss to the Boynton Beach Buccaneers, Del Castillo had two hits in three at-bats. Finally, Dylan Verdonk, a product of The Netherlands, has continued to excel on the mound for the Winchester Royals. In a 19-0 annihilation of the Front Royal Cardinals last Tuesday, he allowed just one hit and struck out three over 2.2 scoreless innings. Verdonk is now second on his team with a 2.57 ERA.

That's all for this week's update. Make sure to stay tuned to see which Pirates will be named all-stars in their respective leagues!
