SHU 17 - MU 18 at the end of Q1.

Tab is 1-9FG 0-4 from range. Powell with 8 points.

About 4 minutes left in Q2... SHU 27 - MU 28.

Kena, Molyneaux, Smith & Gordon all with 2 fouls.

Tab has 4 points.

Kuderer is out 3 weeks with an illness and Byrne is still out with her knee.

Very short bench and foul trouble.

SHU 27 - MU 31 ... Tab now with 2 fouls.

Being out rebounded by about 10 so far.

Jones at the line hits 1... 28-31.

MU another miss and offensive rebound and a lay in and a foul on Jones.

Jones now has 2 fouls as well.

SHU down 28-33.

Powell now has 2 fouls as she fouled a player shooting 3.

7 players with 2 fouls.

3 weeks for an illness? Mono or something of that sort? Any time line for Byrne? I'm sure she's trying to push herself ...

They didn't give a timeline on Byrne and jut said "illness" for Kuderer.

39-31 MU after a 3.

SHU air balled and MU has the ball with 28 left and 25 on the shot clock.

Very poor first half.

A 3 at the buzzer by MU after an offensive rebound.

42-31.

Sounds like we are not going to win this game.

No D, no rebounding, no effort.

Richardson made a comment yesterday about SHU's veterans playing against much less experienced players.

Well, that's what much less experience will do to veterans who look as if they ran a full marathon before leaving Chicago.

Furthermore, almost all veterans are again playing non-team ball. It's exactly what led to the losing streak.

Let's hope the second half is better. Can this team handle success? So far the answer this season is, no.

Their play was listless, without urgency from the tipoff.

This is really disappointing to not show up against one of the lesser teams in the league.

Right now (prior to the end result of this game), we're in the cat bird seat, in terms of RPI and respect. This is going to shove us back down below Villanova in terms of in or out.

Not happy. Not happy at all.

MU up 17 now.

And John Fanta needs to stop SCREAMING while on the radio.

Left the game on while I was doing work inside and outside the house.

Heard we are down 16 at the end of the 3rd.

SHU better plan on going 7-0 the rest of the year. Only way this loss will look "acceptable" is to beat StJ and Nova and everyone else.

Pat, agreed. This was a crap-the-bed performance that leaves me pretty darned upset at this team.

89-82.

A bunch of Seniors and graduate transfers just got pasted by a bunch of Freshman.

Might be time to set up a women's hoops board over here in pirate crew. Looks like your womens team has some message board interest.

Ball, we have a passionate interest developing, but in truth, we probably have to deliver serious results before we can sustain a separate folder.

We'll get back on track. But there's no margin for error.

MU shot 50% - the defense rests.

Tony usually finds a way.

Are we running out of legs- front liners playing too many minutes? Egan, Inman, Byrne injuries not helping.

It's incredible.

It feels like every time this team gets ranked because they're playing great, they lay a big egg.

They just blew a chance to move up the rankings from #25, and to pass St. John's and get into second place.

They could have seriously hyped up the game against St. John's next weekend.

Any team can lose, especially on the road. But there's really no excuse for the comatose lead-legged first half performance. Didn't they know that Marquette beat a very strong St. John's team on Friday?

Well, they come home for three games. Time to start another streak.
