Significant UConn Roster move

Career-wise, Alex should have come out last year as a mid to late 2nd round pick. The longer he stays, the more his weaknesses show: think Angel Delgado.

He isn't getting drafted last year

Karaban is not and will never be an NBA player. His production was product of playing with NBA talent. Any athletic forward can shut him down. If you can’t create your own shot there is no use for one in the NBA.

He better get his passport updated if he wants to play professionally

What is the "significant... move"? Three bench players and Ball returning: a "move"?

It's ironic that retaining your own players is now considering "making moves." You aren't wrong though.
Gotta give Hurley credit for keeping players, especially those with little to no burn over two years like Ross. He must be a PR pro at convincing him back with all the talent coming in plus Karaban potentially staying. Maybe money helps.

So true. All the downsides of Karaban's game became glaringly apparent. A spot up shooter who needs a facilitator to get him the ball in space. Euro league is in his future.

Definitely think that the money helps. I also think that Hurley is honest with them. He's not promising time and not delivering, he's just promising opportunity.

Ross is an interesting kid. He shows flashes of athleticism, followed by a bonehead play. The same could be said of Stuart, but the ratio of good things the bad things is better.

He'll get a two way contract. Whether he gets called up out of the G league is unclear though.

Terrific kid, though. I think that he was too much in his own head this season. If he can get his mind right, he can still be the player that we all hoped he would be. Still, in a "down year" he was averaging 14 points plus per game.
