Skinn to George Mason

With the introduction of “ Pay to Play “ the role of an assistant coach in the recruiting process has changed and their role is being redefined. What Tony’s value was to Kevin’s tenure at Maryland is an unknown but it did land him a head coaching position.

Not a hater but boggles my mind at Tony Skinn's rise. What has he actually delivered? He is like the sales guy that has a great pipeline but never closes anything

I was never overly impressed with him. I am not sure i ever witnessed him saying a word to the kids (certainly a lot different than when Sha was an assitant). Anyway, we will quickly find out how good he is. In fairness, he could not be all that bad if Willard hired him twice.

Skinn was a ridiculously overrated recruiter and did a really poor job for us. He was integral in the choice of Long over Posh and his strong ties to the DMV were all we'd hear about. How did that work out? We landed Dimingus Stevens . I think I could have recruited the DMV (department of motor vehicles) better. May find a couple of tall guys with some athleticism down at Lodi while waiting on line for new license plates.

So a coach I have no clue how he was. As a recruiter he was bad.
