Through 6 games, Seton Hall has trailed at halftime in 3 of those games. I thought the slow starts were gone w/ Willard.

IMO, the biggest thing holding Seton Hall back is Sha. The starting lineup, the weird rotations, the offensive sets, turnovers, etc. He’s gotta improve as the season is only going to get tougher.

And in the 3 games against good teams our defense has been absolutely shredded for chunks of the game Guards from each of the 3 teams have killed us and the best players have gone off.

The offense is such a mess with the sloppiness. The amount of passes thrown out of bounds tonight as well as missed layups is dumb.

This high pressure defense will not work in the BE - teams are too good. You overplay and they beat you to the hoop and no Ike, so fouls rack up.

Too many needless fouls and turnovers because if unnecessarily frenetic pace. Moser an outstanding coach who plays 9 guys but disciplined. We hack away in the back court where teams can’t hurt you. We need to run more plays for our best shooters - Harris, Jackson and Al. Add Samuel to touch every other time on offense and the sets should run through these guys.

Samuel, Harris, Al, Richmond and Jackson should start and get major minutes.

Take a deep breath. We know the transition will be tough and injuries impacted the ability to gel early on. Just like Nova, there will be some stabilization and good basketball come BE. The sky is not falling. We have been conditioned to expect immediate results. Doesn’t work that way these days. Be patient. Sha will do what he needs to do

Moser copied Iowa. Pick and rolls all night. Simple high school offense with n0 answer. Hall will keep seeing this so maybe should be prepared for it.

I didn’t expect to be blown out by 2 unranked opponents

Both losses are by double digits and that will hurt net and just about any metric. Kenpom is not ranking but ranking polls are just that polls. These losses will certainly hurt. Playing Kansas tough won't cut it either. A tough schedule is great but you have to beat some teams.

We beat Memphis. That will be a quality win. Neither Iowa nor Oklahoma will go down as bad losses. They only hurt because we didn’t win. The insult to injury is getting Siena on Sunday instead of Ole Miss. Beating Memphis was big because it didn’t go down as an empty trip.

Playing Kansas tough at Allen Fieldhouse would cut it for me. I don’t know what you expect but this team looks like it has a lot of work to do.

Playing Kansas tough would be a positive. It is nearly impossible to win there. There's a much better chance we lose by 20+ than we win. Keeping it interesting down the stretch will be enough for me.

Win Sunday to avoid a bad loss, take a day off and get ready for the AFH experience. I've been there as a fan and it's incredible. Best sports experience of my life. I'm bummed I'm not going next week. I can't fathom how intimidating it must be for a player or team that has never played there before.

Don't worry! Per many posters on this board. It will just take time! Sha is an expert! Also, Sha can do no wrong!

Let’s be honest here and recognize that Sha‘s performance as our coach has not been what we expected with who starts, who he puts together on the court and his mass substitutions puzzling . It’s going to be a long and difficult year if we don’t see better decisions from Sha and his staff .

The possible scenario is the best OOC win could be Memphis on a neutral court. That is not good and the conference record is going to need to be really good to make up for that. These 2 games were lost opportunities that hurt.

Have to wonder if Willard watched us pass in practice and then decided on let's run a weave then go one on one with some pick and roll.

Willards slow starts were never about the halftime score. It was about the first 4-8 minutes where it took some time to get going. Some times we started the 2nd half slow. Despite all of that 7 straight seasons of meaningful games throughout the entire season.

In both cases, the final outcome wasn't truly reflective of the game.

The Iowa game was a 6-10 point game much of the second half before they pulled away late. Granted, it never felt like we were going to win since we couldn't get closer than five down but I wouldn't say they blew us out.

Same thing with Oklahoma. We were up five in the second half had the lead with 11:11 left. We were still within six with four minutes to go but OU scored seven points on the next three possessions to push the lead to 13 with 1:55 left.

Agree on Oklahoma, completely disagree on Iowa. We outscored Iowa 10-2 until the first media time out. In the second half we outscored them 6-0 to open the half and Iowa took a timeout. After McCaffrey got his guys together for the first time in each half the score was something like 81-51. Those 2 runs to open each half made the Iowa game made the score look closer than it was.
