I ask that our readers bear with us these days leading up to the games. There are no more interviews on the horizon as the games near. We have profiled the season, the league and the players ad nauseam.
I'll try and find some more content although there isn't much left.
For now I'll just add that Weston is near to playing through contact. Long has gotten some medical help (can't be specific) to try to play through the season. If that fails then he'll take a redshirt.
My guess on a starting lineup, and it's just a guess based on what I have been hearing and of course the opponent is this
PG Richmond
F Rhoden
F/C Yetna
2G Either Cale or Harris or both if Rhoden plays the PF
Samuel will get his minutes as he is a special project of the staff based on his potential
Obiagu is scheduled to average around 20 MPG. Whether that is as a starter or backup hasn't been decided yet
Aiken has been playing really well and if this was last season might be starting. Now Willard can follow the medical advise he got last season and give Bryce about 20 MPG or so off the bench.
Jackson is a wildcard. He is a physical talent. Probably the best pure athlete on the team. How he incorporates that talent on the court will dictate his minutes.
Long would have gotten minutes in the rotation. Now because of his knee that's up in the air.
Same with Weston. How quickly he heals will dictate PT.
Powell and Conway will have to wait their turn.
Same with Smith. He's not ready yet.
