Sophomores Sweep Top-Three in Victory at Dutchmen Invitational

Lebanon, Pa. – The Seton Hall men's cross country team claimed its first team victory of the season on Saturday, taking first place at the Dutchmen Invitational at Lebanon Valley College. The Pirates tallied 65 points to take home the team title.

A trio of sophomores led the way for the Pirates on the morning, starting with Stephen Beaman (Johnston, Iowa) crossing the line in fourth place overall with a time of 26:15.2. Logan Brunozzi (Churchville, Pa.) finished the 8k course in ninth overall with a time of 26:30.4. Kendal Lanier (Kennett Square, Pa.) also nabbed a top-10 time, finishing third on the Pirates in 26:38.1.

A pair of freshmen rounded out Seton Hall's top-five. Joseph Butler finished fourth on the team, completing the race with a time of 27:14.5. Behind him was Jeffrey Grynaviski (Farmington Hills, Mich.), taking fifth on the squad with a time of 27:39.2.

The Pirates return to action next Saturday in Daytona Beach, Fla. as they compete in the Embry-Riddle Cross Country Invitational.
