Spicer

Spicer's press briefings are must watch TV. Yesterday's briefing was a textbook case of what not to say.

He didn't even realize the repugnancy of what he had said until the press climbed all over it.
I believe his apology was sincere, but I think that his cognitive skill level is very low.

Too combative from the start and won't last long IMO. I hate the main stream press. But Spicey has not done a good job at all.

Agree...he's over his head. I don't see him making it to Memorial Day.

He does provide a nice distraction for Trump though. He'll be around until they don't need the distraction anymore.
Spicer's comments gave the MSM lots to talk about in addition to the United passenger that got beat up, because we all knew that they were the two MOST IMPORTANT news stories (I mean ratings grab) for the day.

I found both stories worthy of being heavily reported upon.

In Spicer's case, it wasn't just the Hitler comparison (which was bad) but the strange reference to "Holocaust centers" that moved it from a political story to a "what the heck is he saying" news story.

As far as the United story, anyone who has ever flown with regularity has experienced the problem of being on an over booked flight. The fact that this relatively common occurrence went so bad made it newsworthy.

Except the flight wasn't overbooked.

True. My limited point is that I have been on flights that had too many people and on other flights that had "confrontation" but I have never been involved in a flight that wound up as bad as this one. I found it newsworthy.

Dear Sean,

For a time, your press briefings were must see television, but all things must pass. I wish you all the best.

Dear Anthony,

You have some big shoes to fill. I wish you all the best

The early returns on Mooch are off the charts positive. He is going to be a big star. He better be careful; there can only be one reality TV star in this Administration.

Scaramucci also claimed that unlike Bannon, he isn’t interested in boosting his profile in the media.

“I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own c-ck,” he said. “I’m not trying to build my own brand off the f-cking strength of the president. I’m here to serve the country.”

I think his pitch to Trump was, "if you hire me, I will be all the press talks about. They will stop talking about Russia"

If it was, it is working.

There's typical political incompetence and then there's this administration. How any rational person can honestly defend what's going on is beyond me.

4 days ago the post published a "Survivor" cover of the Trump admin.
2 people have already been voted off.

Although the title of this thread is a little dated, it seems to be the graveyard for former West Wing staffers.

Spicy, move over. Reice, you got no respect even here, Mooch, get those boxing gloves ready.......

Here comes Bannon!
