Playing them at UBS is the best outcome for us IMO. I think they actually have the best home court advantage at Carnesecca. I'm sure their fans will turnout for MSG if they are decent and our fanbase attendance there has always run hot-and-cold. I've never been to UBS but who knows how they draw there.

I have been there, it is a very nice arena. While getting out of the area either by mass transit or car can be a pain, on a Sunday afternoon of Presidents Day weekend I think they will draw very well that day, particularly if they are ranked by then.

It looks like they are playing butler and DePaul at alumni hall, us and Xavier at UBS, everyone else at MSG.

40 in tolls just to get there. Ugh
Welcome to my world going the other way. lol

That could be a win/win for SJU in the future.,
Much of their alumni base is in Long Island. The arena is at the beginning of Long Island just steps out of Queens. SJU should have played a few games per year at the Nassau Coliseum to increase interest in the program. Now they have that arena much closer to campus.

Lol, Rick. Of course send us out there.

He will do anything for an advantage. He knows SHU fans will travel to MSG and that does not help St Johns. It's better than Alumni Hall though which is a hole and the fans are right on top of the players.

I wish Tony (RIP) was still with us. He would drive from LI for every SHU game and he would have loved this commute.

Eh, I don’t think they scheduled this game intentionally at UBS because of some perceived advantage. They are playing teams at the Garden that draw far better than we do consistently. More likely this was impacted by the numerous moving parts of trying to schedule at MSG, with other teams, and that there are likely a few schools they are prioritizing for MSG because of history or how those teams project. Most think Xavier is going to be pretty good this year and they aren’t at MSG either.
