Not a very good game by Roselle Catholic. Haven't seen them play this year but no team with this kind of talent should get destroyed like this.
BTW no metion of Silva below at all. Wonder how healthy the locker room is?
From Clark....
And it was even worse for Roselle (Catholic) NJ in the next game after Hyattsville (DeMatha) MD jumped out to a 14-4 lead early and never looked back en route to a 69-45 rout against the team that was ranked #3 in the nation, behind 1) Montverde (Academy) FL and 2) Henderson (Findlay Prep) NV and ahead of 4) Marietta (Wheeler) GA, 5) Memphis (Hamilton) TN, 6) Mouth of Wilson (Oak Hill) VA, 7) Oakland (Bishop O'Dowd) CA, 8) Virginia Beach (Cape Henry Collegiate) VA, 9) High Point (Wesleyan Christian) NC, and 10) Chicago (Simeon) IL, in Ronnie Flores' latest Grassroots Hoops FAB 50 Boys Basketball National Team Rankings.
The Stags were led by 6'5 Jr Markette Fultz, who finished with 25 points, three rebounds, three steals, 9-19 field goals, 1-2 3-pointers, 8-10 free throws and clearly is one of the most improved players in the nation in the past year. He does need to get bigger and stronger physically and develop more of an outside shooter's mentality, but we're talking about a slashing athletic 2-guard who was a junior varsity player a year ago prior to blowing up this past spring and summer while playing for the DC Blue Devils on the AAU circuit. Also chipping in with 13 points, four rebounds, 5-14 field goals, 1-6 3-poionters, and 6-10 free throws was 6'6 Soph D.J. Harvey, who is a consensus top 10-ranked sophomore nationally and has the versatility, athleticism, and skills necessary to evolve into the next great player to play for Mike Jones at DeMatha.
The only player who really rose to the occasion for Roselle (Catholic) NJ was 6'3 Isaiah Briscoe, who is ranked #4 nationally in the senior class by the HOOP SCOOP and is bound for the University of Kentucky. However, this still was not one of his better efforts, as this strong physical crafty combo guard finished with 20 points, three assists, three turnovers, two steals, 8-20 field goals, 0-4 3-pointers, and 4-10 free throws. We also expected a lot more from 6'9 Frosh Nazreon Reid from Roselle (Catholic) NJ, who finished with just one point, seven rebounds, 0-2 field goals, and 1-2 free throws. Remember, we're talking about a legit top 10-ranked player nationally in the Class of 2018 and, with his great size, tremendous length, and incredible natural talent, he has superstar written all over him, if the motor ever clicks in and the light turns on.
