I don't post a lot on the board very much anymore and my close friends like Halldan, SPK,Tony C, Artie and Seton75 know the reason.

I would like to give some facts to refute some of the posters on the board.

I live in Readington Townwnsip but grew up in Newark.I played basketball for St Benedict's so know a little about the game.

I recently walked into our local Starbucks and was asked by the lady why I had a Pirate shirt on. I explained I had 3 degrees from the school and she was thrilled in front of 20 customers. She said out loud her daughter went to SHU had a great time and is now starting medical school at our affiliated partner Hackensack hospital.

I was so proud I gave her a .25 tip. I am pretty tired of all the negatives about our school......... enrollment is up, SAT scores are up, and the applications are also going up.

That's for a small expensive private college. I can't be happier.

Basketball is the face of the school and we are moving forward. I am so tired of facilities criticism I want to get sick.

Here's my opinion on facilities:

A, Nobody uses the old swimming pool area for practice there is a full court facility available where I sent my son to camp.

B. Walsh is more than adequate for practice until the new facilities are finished.

C. No recruit is picking UNC over SHU because of practice facilities it's reputation and you know the rest. Duke is just as bad as any other school.I know that first hand.

D. Carolina is a good school how many of their 5 star players graduate like Mike Nzei

E. When you leave the campuses of Duke, Carolina, Kansas, and Florida State you are in the "Sticks",Providence over SHU

F. The best players are from the inner city Do you really think NYC being the media capital of the world is second class to Raleigh /Durham??? Don't give be that degree argument. How many 5 star players are working for a Wall Street firm like Mike Nzei??

G. How many talented SHU players don't get drafted? ZERO !

H. I have a daughter and she comes first but women's basketball should never be considered ahead of the men's program.

I have another 30 minutes but apologize for my ranting. Timberlake should never pick UNC or Providence over SHU unless the Donald Trump is involved. LOL
