Sub $3 gas in NJ

I paid $2.94 last night. Still too high. A fair price for gas is $2.25-$2.50.

I'll take the $2.94 at the moment. lets hope it stays under $3. Pa still around $3.50 and the gas tax is going up soon. annoying.

any particular reason for the drop?

NJ would be lower if not for Christie's backroom deal hiking the gas tax in 2016.

Seems like demand is lower and more supply has hit the market in recent months.

I think OPEC+ did not do the second cut in production of oil in December. That certainly helped. But the lowering of gas prices is a very good sign and helpful against the fight against inflation as well. 2023 will be a very interesting time economically.

That seems pretty low. Historical average adjusted for inflation just over $3.
May bounce off numbers around there but hard to see it settling there.

strange that demand is lower now that most companies have gone back to work. still annoyed at Pa, apparently the gas tax is going up soon

Gasoline demand is mostly seasonal. The summer travel season drives up prices, as well as the switch from the winter to summer formula.
