Taurean: For me to come out and play in front of my family and win MVP is a blessing. I feel real good about it.
Q: Don’t go to school nearby anymore, how was it to play in front of friends and family?
Taurean: I’m up in New Hampshire that is seven hours from home. Once that I heard that everyone was coming, my grandmother, my little cousins, I really have to turn up.
Q: Can you give us your status on your recruiting and where you’re at?
Taurean: Right now I am being recruited by UConn Syracuse Georgetown Seton Hall. I have an offer from Arizona. I am going on my UConn official in a couple of days.
Q: Are you going to take all of your officials before you decide or see what happens?
Taurean: I am going to see what happens after UConn. I am still making my pros and cons lists. I do not know a lot about UConn. I know they have a lot of power forwards and [Daniel] Hamilton just left. I talked to the assistant coaches briefly. I haven’t talked to Ollie yet – he’s been busy. When I get there they will let me know what is going on.
Q: What about Seton Hall?
Taurean: They had a great year. It is close to home so everyone can come to see me play. They are one of the tops in the Big East conference, everybody is coming back. I don’t know if Isaiah declared for the draft or not, but I think he is deciding now.
Q: Time line for committing?
Taurean: Whenever it feels right really. There is not a specific date on my calendar, just whenever it feels right.
