The game is still going as I type this but we know how it's going to turn out. I say this knowing full well that Aiken was out and that does make a difference. A big one. But what I saw tonight goes way beyond that. I don't say this lightly - I haven't been this disgusted during/after a game in many years. Not even DePaul a couple weeks ago. At least they fought back in that one.

This game was a joke all around. The team and the staff were COMPLETELY unprepared. It's like they figured they could just show up and beat the same team again thinking they'd make no adjustments. Compound that with a complete lack of hustle and lack of caring and you get a blowout on your home floor.

What has happened here? They started the season so great - blew out cupcakes for the first time in what seems like forever, won at Michigan, beat Texas, took care of Rutgers. Nearly knocked off Ohio State. I get that the virus stoppage affected some things. But what I'm seeing now is a lot more than that and it's very concerning. There's no excuse to be 3-5 in this league right now.

This team has talent, but it is not being coached or utilized properly. We will win a bunch of games over the next month and a half, but we're going to lose some too. I'm not going to be teased or fooled again. This team and program could be so much better. But the discipline and effort is simply not there on a consistent enough basis. I think a reasonable expectation at this point is simply to make the NCAA Tournament. This team has blown its chance at obtaining any kind of good seed. Best we can do is 6 if all goes well. Likely in the 8-11 range.
