I see Donald Copeland is playing on a team for the Friars which stinks.

Didn't Barretts team win this thing last year? They made it at least to the finals

And last year Paul Gause played on a team composed of all Notre Dame alum. That also stank.


Edit: Gause's team won the thing last year. Still stinks he did it with a bunch of Golden Domers.

Perusing thru the Northeast teams to see any (remote or otherwise) teams of Pirate interest:

Big Apple Basketball has Michael Glover playing alongside Derrick Caracter, as well as Sam Young (Pitt) and Smush Parker (Fordham).
Team Oohway has Jeremy Hazell & Jordan Theodore. Of note, we have Bobby Gonzalez's favorite, Luis Flores, along w/ Dwight Hardy (St. John's).

I also see 1 team with CJ Aiken (of St. Joe's). Any relation to Bryce?

This whole thing seems kinda interesting and worth a watch - anyone see any of it last year? This is the first I've heard of it

Looks like he's playing on the St. Anthony's FRIARS Nation team.

I am really amazed that Gonzo hasn't taken this tournament as a chance to get himself back in the coaching business.

He could put together, Luis Flores, Hazell, Theodore in the backcourt, and Pope and Glover up front. Maybe Stix is out of jail and can be on the bench. jeff Robinson must be free to play this.

Stix has been out of jail for FAR longer than he was in it. At the risk of getting off topic, I didn't have a problem with him getting off easy. Decent kid from a good home, really immature. I know he was playing on and off overseas. Loved his game, and hope he makes some money playing it -- and stays out of further trouble.

Yea, I watched the semi-final/final. Pretty good basketball. I follow barstool sports and they had a team last year that did well it was pretty funny. It was a bunch of bloggers who don't really play along side a bunch of good players it made for some fun
