The Big East may have us figured out!

After the past few games it has become obvious to me that the B.E. teams have figured out how to defend us. We are not very good at shooting from the perimeter and that is common knowledge in the league.
The plan for our opponents is to pack in the defense and cut off our slashers from getting to the hoop and it was very effective for SJU in the second half. We would have lost the game by a large margin if Desi had not hit those shots from the perimeter in the first half. Any team with a quality big man/men is going to give us trouble unless we start shooting and scoring more from the outside. We need more plays for IW, Desi and KC to get open on the perimeter.

It's nothing new... It's the way this team has been constructed since Day 1, and everyone is seeing each for the second team. Every team's strengths and weaknesses are well known to each other.

The got Delgado out of the game early, and they prevented us from driving to the basket. If you do those 2 things we can lose to anyone on any given day.

We have not been reliant on the 3 all season. We are 310th of 351 national programs in 3PA:FGA. We are 307th in point distribution represented by 3's.

So are you saying Georgetown had us figured out that we went up 51-36 and they still couldn't stop us and had to foul us just about every possession? As for yesterday all we learned is if the game is called extremely tightly we may struggle because we are not deep and can't afford foul problems at the center position. And just so fact's don't get in the way, the last 3 games 44.4%, 50%, and 40% from 3.

I would hope that 9 experienced college basketball coaches, with their armies of assistants/coordinators and 26 games worth of tape, would have us figured out by now. Stopping it is another story.

Under no circumstances do I want this team to start bombing threes.

And yet we beat GT", SJU and Marquette with their two seven footers twice. Beat Creighton the second time away, after they had. Kicked our butts at home. Not sure if anyone has "figured" us out.

Every game is its own enigma, an individual mission, with many parameters and variables. What I'm most interested in, honestly, is how we adjust and play Butler on the road. Similar to Creighton, Butler put it to us at The Rock, I want to see how we adjust and play at Butler.
I think we make the necessary adjustments in game plan & win at Butler!

Or maybe yesterday was just one of those days where our two best players had a really bad day. Maybe nothing more than that to figure out.

We are not hard to figure out, but we have enough talent to be successful. The SJU game
at the Garden was kind of strange because of the foul trouble. I think most of us might agree
that it's our last 5 to 10 minute offense that's holding us back this season. Add in spotty free throw
shooting at times and we have a tough time scoring.

Analysis by paralysis. The reason the game was even close on Sunday was because of Angel's early foul trouble. That's it.

For the record, those foul calls on Angel were awful.

Well, I am glad that it took them 9 BE wins for them to figure us out.

Maybe we can adjust to get 2 more. ;)

They all figured out. They just don't all have the players to execute that. SJU played out of their a**es Sunday and we went into coast mode.

At least three of them were amazingly bad.
