Believe it or not we are just about through a third of the season. The record is about where most of us
would have predicted. The deviation was losing to Long Beach St and not Virginia in Charleston. GW was
going to be a 50/50 game and unfortunately it was a loss. Nice wins vs Ole Miss and a talented Georgia team.

My overall opinion is fairly positive about the team and the first part of the season. I believe KW and the coaching staff would receive a good grade so far. The challenging part of the season is yet to come.

The bright spots would certainly be Desi and Nzei in my opinion. They are giving SHU much needed support in the frontcourt. The improved play of Sonogo is worth noting also. Can the three of them play at this level when
the schedule and opposition get tougher?

At the end of the day it will be Whitehead, Carrington and Delgado that make or break the season. Carrington is just a good basketball player. His play is fairly steady and you can see progress and maturity. Delgado seems to be coming a long. On his worst day he's still going to contribute. We need to see more of the happy Angel though. His demeanor is all over the place. Throwing the kid from Troy down after he was lightly whacked across the face showed a lack of self control and immaturity. He may be injured(don't know) , but he's not reacting quick enough on defense. He is starting to assert himself on the boards and that's good to see. We all like Angel and he has to elevate back to where he was last season.

IW is very difficult to gauge so far. He is talented and we need him to play at a high level. He's being asked to play a position that is not natural for him. So we have mixed results. He's made many key plays when
needed in most of our early season wins. There are times when he goes to the rim where he looks exceptional. There are times where he's taking shots too soon and a tad out of his range. On the other hand there have been numerous times where he's drawing attention and then dishing to the big guys for easy baskets. Moving forward he has a good deal of data from the early season that can help him to improve.

Seton Hall is getting better as I see it. Less turnovers, a bit better at the free throw line and getting more players involved. They need to improve on outside shooting. They're set up to be 10-2 or 9-3 in the OOC against a decent, but not great bunch of schools. No slipups against St. Peters or USF. The Wichita St. game is the chance they have to get the Pirate fans back on board for BigEast play.

The play has been up and down. Sometimes our fans don't give enough credit to the other teams. They also work hard, compete and have talent. SHU has an excellent nucleus of young talent. They need to stay focused and show a resolve that they couldn't sustain in prior seasons.

Well written and on target. Point Guard is where IW wants to play and that is where he is. We appear ready to put things together game by game.

The next two weeks are huge in practice and games.

I like your analysis, but "lightly wacked across the face" he was not. You could hear the slap on tv, plus the guy didn't walk away, and instead went to his body some more after that. What would you have done? It was a pure reaction to being open palm slapped in the face (albeit unintentional)
