The good old days

High IQ players . That helps
2 out of 3 were anyway. Your point is well taken. I miss IWs toughness on both sides of the court and Kadeem could do it all. Loved his pull up jumper and defense too. Desi was a junkyard dog and later in his career became a really good shooter. Kadeem was underrated to me. He had a knack for getting that tough basket or steal when the team really needed it.

Don't forget these two guys came with them

WHAT ABOUT MIKE NZEI?!?!?!

I feel like Mike didn't find his footing in the program until the aforementioned were gone. I view Mike as being in that next wave along with Powell, Sandro, and a young Rhoden to go along with our centers Ro and Ike.

Zeke, Carrington, Desi, Ish, and Delgado will go down as this generation's own little "Fab Five" for what they did for our program. It's a shame Willard couldn't get them over the hump. What could have been.

Still waiting for our latest "wave". Not quite the early days of Willard going with Tommy Maayan and Freddie Wilson at the point, but still concerning.

I get it, but Mike was a part of that freshman class.
