The Truly Ugly: Last nights game was one of the ugliest you will ever witness. Turnovers, fouls, massive confusion. It wasn’t pretty at all.
The Bad: Sha has his work cut out for him. There are a lot of things that need work and I am sure these guys are going to get blasted.
The Good: You can see underneath all of it we have a pretty spectacular team, despite what happened last night. Defense is going to be mind blowing when Sha gets these guys to work together. The hustle is going to be like 40 minutes of hell. You can see that. Samuel can play at a much higher level and Sha is pulling that out of him. Two freshmen, Sanders and Tre Davis are the real deal. Ndefo was playing nervous, but you can tell he will bust his ass to get where he needs to be. Action Jackson will be a major part of the game plan. Sha has to work with Kadary to keep his head in the game and not to foul. We are 10+ deep and it shows.
Rebounding is atrocious, that and 59% FT are going to get us into the BE cellar. We can’t have those two happen. Turnovers were opening night and Sha will kill them if they don’t take care of the ball.
But the thing is last night in the middle of that giant mess, I saw the makings of a team. A competitive team. Sha has a years worth of work to do in about 5 weeks. But if he can do it. It could be a wonderful thing to behold.
