The RV/#25 Seton Hall University women's basketball team orchestrated in incredible late game run to erase a nine-point deficit with 60 seconds to play and come away with an 85-76 win at Butler to clinch at least a share of the BIG EAST Regular Season title and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament.

SH putting a hurt on Butler right now - 44-20 with 4:22 to go in the 2nd period. Keep it up Ladies!

92-62 with 4:59 to go.
Hope they set a play for a seldom used sub to score the 100th

98-77. Can't believe they were letting 3s fly down the stretch and not setting a pay for a 2 pointer or foul. Problem was Butler hit a bunch of 3s and SH didn't. Nice win though.

Tony prefers to go all-sub and no rub-it-ins during a blow out. This is NOT what some of his colleagues do, by which I mean Bruno especially, who is a great coach and prime puckered a**h*le to boot.

When I coached, we always had a play at the end of the year (during league play, not tourney) for anyone who hadn't scored. Once they scored it was back to regular sets. Never ad luxury to coach a 100 PT game, but payed in a few. When you got close you wanted it. No bad shots, play within team concept, and if winning easily coach would set up play for a sub. Guess tatbdidntnappen today which s fine. It's a nice emry for the payer who scored the 100th point. In hs, we scored 100 2X and same player (last payer on bench) scored it both times. Nick named "Mr.100" by the fans.

Was at the game with many of the bleacher creatures. Coach could have run the score as high as he wanted. Our starters played very good "Hall ball" Coach used bench players usually 3 at a time with 2 starters for most of 3 quarters.

I usually don't remark on opposing teams but feel Butler deserves it. They started 4 freshmen and 1 sophomore. They had 10 players but one was in a boot. They are very fast, unselfish, smart players and very good foul shooters. This is a coach in his second season. Although they are 3-5 in the Big East they will be a team to watch out for in years to come.

I think Aleesha Powell had 6 3's.

Thank you for your observations!!!

The Pirates took care of business at home this weekend.

Powell was on fire, hitting six 3-pointers in the first half. Then she didn't take even one from long distance in the second half.

TRS is displaying so many great facets to her game on both ends. She's slumping only with her 3-point shot. I think it's because she's not squaring up and getting set.

Richardson can change the entire team when she plays like a PG and looks to pass and find the open man. She still gets her shots, but gets her teammates involved.

Jones seems to be regaining her touch

If any one or two other those three can hit some threes at DePaul they can win.

What a nice boost to have Kuderer able to come in and make significant contributions. The Pirates needed that after another injury.

The fact is that everybody seems to be contributing. Gordon, Mosley and Molyneaux all had their moments today.

Now they just have to avoid those 4-5 minute periods where they seem to lose their focus and fall asleep, especially on D. And they CANNOT play that help D where they leave players wide open. Please don't do that this coming weekend.

Finally, it's too bad about the weather. The crowd today was probably the smallest of the season. The official attendance was 809, but there was really half that number.

Go Pirates!

400, I was not there but have been to most other matches. What you described matches what I have been seeing and heard through the radio today. Kuderer and Molyneaux have been stepping up, and Mosley has been getting stronger. Powell on fire can only be a good sign.

Blue, when you look at the fact that Kuderer, Molyneaux, Smith and Byrne are freshmen, you have to be happy to see the steady improvement and their ability to contribute.

Know your role and help the team in any way you can.

Playing a great five minutes and lead to 10 minutes.

Speaking of Byrne, he's her foot/ankle doing? Need her strength and grit letter in the season.

Spoke to Tony B.

He wants to thank the fans who came out to the Xavier game Friday just before the blizzard struck (near 1200) and those that braved the after storm Sunday against Butler.

He's liking the way the team has responded after the 3 game losing streak and looks forward to a "very big game" next at DePaul.

He noted that Jordan Mosley has played well off the bench recently and applauded Martha Kuderer and Jordan Molyneaux for picking up the slack for the injured Taylor Byrne who will be out another 1-2 weeks.

Vegas - Taylor Byrne saw the dr. yesterday. She will be out another 1-2 weeks with a hyper-extended knee.
Ouch! That's a shame. Lost time will hamper her for the rest of the season. Hope they bring her back slowly. I should know. Got an artifice right knee and hyper extended it more than once over the years paying bball no less., Wonder if the knee i have now was invented by my former team mate and SH HOFer Dr - not Bill he's a dentist (lol) - but Fred Beuchel, MD. Great guy btw.
