PHILADELPHIA - The Seton Hall women's basketball team won its fourth-straight game to open the 2015-16 season with a 66-54 victory at Saint Joseph's on Saturday afternoon. Tiffany Jones (New York, N.Y.) posted a monster 16-point, 14-rebound double-double and Tabatha Richardson-Smith (Bay City, Texas) scored 21 points to lead The Hall (4-0).
In their first road contest of the season, the Pirates led by a point after a quarter before opening up a 12-point halftime advantage. The Hall pulled ahead by as many as 21 in the third quarter and led by double-digits throughout the second half. Jones' 14 rebounds were part of a 50-32 edge on the glass for the Pirates, their highest rebound total and rebound margin of the season.
Lubirdia Gordon (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) had a career day for The Hall with 12 points and seven rebounds while Shakena Richardson (Neptune, N.J.) led the way with seven assists. For Saint Joseph's (0-2), Sarah Fairbanks led the way with 13 points and eight rebounds.
Turning Point
After a sluggish first quarter that left The Hall leading by only a point, Richardson-Smith caught fire in the second quarter. The senior knocked down four 3-pointers in the frame and totaled 14 points in the stanza to help the Pirates take a 38-26 halftime lead to the locker room.

"My staff deserves a lot of credit for the win. The girls were in great condition, playing four games in eight days is tough but we've been able to fight through."
