Too bad, I'm too poor to have FS2. LOL.

I've missed many women's away games on FS2 this year. Oh well.

WSOU it is!

SH starting off slow down 8-0, but starting to wake up. B 13 SH 8.
Notice to men- Tab stays after practice & puts up 500 shots a night!

Down 18-14 after 1. SH needs to hit boards better. Sometimes 1 on 3 on offensive end. That's offensive.

Butler averages 6 blocks a game in BE pay. Ave 7 already! Maybe SH should rethink some plays? Only problem with that is SH is 1/11 from beyond the arc. Down 29-23 with 1:30 to go.

Down 37-28 at half. Butler hits miracle 3 on buzzer after SH hits a 3 with less than 5 secs to go in the half. SH getting pounded on boards. Lady who hit the buzzer beater has 3 fgm from beyond the arc. Wake up Ladies!

Lunburg for 3!!!! SH down by 1 (4.7-46) with 1:10 Left in the 3rd qtr. Playing with intensity TB showed in interview before 2nd half started.. Announcers even commented on TB's intensity.

Lunburg misses 3 from NBA range and she could have moved up since unguarded. SH hits shot on buzzer by S Richardson to take first lead of the game 48-47! Yes! Keep it up Ladies.

Note to Fox - announcers are awful. Talking about a The Nova guard as SH scores and not evens peep on it.

S Richardson with a steal and no look pass in the paint for a SH score. B answers with another uncontested 3. Wake up! SH up 1 with 5:30 to go

SH holds in to win 72-67. SH only committed 2 fouls in the 2nd and they came in last 2 1/2 minutes. Richardson Smith unbelievable from FT line. Only 1 miss. Langlois from B 5/12 from way beyond arc. Way to come back Ladies!

Thank god. Could only listen to the first quarter. I was worried.

A lot of the ladies are hurt or injured but they're gutting it out. Hopefully Martha will be back soon. Sucks that Taylor has a concussion, we could certainly use her. Gotta get the 'W' on Sunday then finish the regular season strong at home!

--What can you say? This game has to leave you shaking your head. It's was an UGLY game, and some players continue to have trouble hitting two footers and layups.

The Bottom line, however, is that they won a Big East road game while the team is getting killed with injuries. A loss against an 8-17, 3-11 Butler team would have been devastating to the Pirates' post-season prospects.

--SHU is now 19-7, 9-6. I believe they're on the bubble. They need to find a way to win at Xavier.

--TRS stepped up big-time in the second half, finishing with 27 points.

--Shakeena displayed warrior princess power, playing with injuries and grinding it out for the W.

--Jones cannot hit the ocean. But she grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked three shots. Sun Tzu would be proud.

--Jones took more than twice as many shots as Powell. That's not good.

--Smith was great. The freshman played 21 minutes of mostly solid and controlled basketball on both ends. And she grabbed seven rebounds.

--As Lundberg gets more minutes, she is playing better. It's really what any player needs to get better. And she's taking advantage of the opportunity.

--Finally, I want to BEG the Pirates to STOP playing the help D that leaves every team wide open for threes. Every team knows the Pirates are going to do it and they burn the Pirates every game.

--Good luck on Sunday. Go Pirates!

Aleesha should be taking the second most shots on this team. Tiff needs to play down low - only.

Lundberg should play stretch 4.

Hopefully Kena is healthier Sunday and Martha is good for Sunday.

Jones was a beast on the boards. A lot of those shots were after a rebound and Butler's interior D is really really good. Average 6 blocks per game in BE play and had 7 before the first half was over.
SH played a very solid 2nd half on both ends of the cour, but defending the 3 was their weakness. Don't think B hit a 2 pt jumper in the second half, so that D was good.

Free Throws were the difference in this game and the ability to get to the line and make your shots is the difference between winning and losing in a hell of a lot of college games.

Saw that in both games this week. Amazing. Because we seem to have been at the wrong end of it for so long, it boggles the mind to be the team that does it to the opponent.

With both games being in the Midwest safe to assume that no extra players will be available on Sunday. Both squads are closing in on the 20 win mark , fingers crossed, can not remember the last time that that has happened. Great job by all. Go Pirates.
