I'm a little disappointed to see that he looks heavier than he did when he committed to us. There is no way that he would be able to play D in the BE unless he focuses this spring and summer and drops weight. And we may need him to play important minutes next year.
Agreed. But the upside of this is.....I'm a little disappointed to see that he looks heavier than he did when he committed to us. There is no way that he would be able to play D in the BE unless he focuses this spring and summer and drops weight. And we may need him to play important minutes next year.
It was meant as a joke, but the weight is a little of a concern. As of right now the comparison I am thinking is jamar nutter. How about we lay off the comparisons to disappointing players till he puts on the uniform. He is a top 100 kid who can shoot his ass off. I am excited to see him play.

I just get tired of us disparaging our players and team, specially highly touted kids who haven't suited up yet, the kind of kids we have been dying to get. So I will say cut it out, and you can ignore me.I personally see nothing wrong in pointing out a current player or a future player's physical characteristics have changed whether it's a positive or negative development. Powell has added weight and for people to notice that and comment on it should not provoke posters to say those comments should not be made. It's OK to say a player needs to add weight but it's not OK to say a player looks too heavy for his frame?
We have posters on this board who will criticize future recruits who havent even been born yet...
