I see no proof of that. Just because "messaging" is out there, doesn't mean people listen to it and act on it.
Because it's two different issues. Whistleblower is accusing Facebook of influencing behavior. FB is deleting anti-vax messaging. What's the danger if you don't think people listen to the messaging on facebook?

The danger is FB is purposefully driving people to be angry and divide because it increases traffic and $$. Did you watch the 60 Minutes piece I attached? But just because "messaging" is out there, that doesn't mean people listen to it... right? So what's the danger you're referring to here?

Yes, and I agree that FB is a danger. I have FB "friends" that share anti-vax and downplaying Covid messaging.
Just pointing out that, yes... FB is a danger to people with messaging and Covid is not an exception to that rule.
Those folks aren't entitled to their opinion? That's what you're really saying.
I know you take great pleasure in misrepresenting my point of view.Just saying their opinions are influenced by their bubble. Goes back to a discussion a week ago with 85 when he said the opposite.
People are entitled to their opinion, but FB as a business model is designed to validate opinions, good and bad.
If people didn't get the validation there, they would look for it somewhere else. That is the problem really.
Only one bubble, hmmJust saying their opinions are influenced by their bubble. Goes back to a discussion a week ago with 85 when he said the opposite.

Not really. It's just that your towering intellect is too much for my puny brain to comprehend. Try dumbing it down a little so I could understand your deep and penetrating point of view.I know you take great pleasure in misrepresenting my point of view.
They were two different discussions that you are trying somehow to connect. Nice try though.Nothing was misrepresented, just showed the inconsistency between this discussion and your opinion on anti vaccine messaging not having an impact.
thanks bookeeper. I don’t have Facebook. Don’t have time for it. I imagine you are on their regularly.Nope. Not saying there is one bubble. Just saying one bubble had an impact on vaccine hesitancy, with groups downplaying Covid and overstating the risks of the vaccine. Those were some of the top stories shares on FB in 2021... yet FB is only a danger to stuff you say it is... right.... I get why you want to switch topics though.
thanks bookeeper. I don’t have Facebook. Don’t have time for it. I imagine you are on their regularly.
I know however that the US government shouldn’t at this time require anyone to get this new vaccine ….this is the primary point people make although many are described as anti vax
I have to be consistent, and I wouldn’t lose out on an opportunity to remind you how serious you take yourselfI like how you edited that post to throw that in. Almost forgot to call me bookkeeper... child.
Too busy for a FB account? Lol. Please.
Nonsense. I don’t believe it should be mandated. I’m not anti vax.
The downplaying of Covid and fearmongering about the vaccine after it came out had absolutely nothing to do with a mandate. That discussion is new.
If you truly believe this to be true, I wouldn't want to lose out on an opportunity to remind you how serious you take yourself.yes, too busy

yes, too busy
there was fear mongering before vax too. Not new.
but glad to hear you’re in the anti vax group which is how Democrats and not just liberals describe you/your stance.
also edited to add this: do you ever actually post about sports? You know, on a primarily sports site. Never seen it. Seems like you simply spend literally all day on LOTS
Another edit? Wow! How do you find the time?
No, I don’t really pay attention to college basketball off season anymore.
Despite all of the noise, this country has one of the highest vaccination rates in the world. But that’s not enough.
18th in the world,,,that’s pretty good considering how politicized it has been. And we have segments of the population historically who have not addressed their lifestyle. And the government continues to ignore that messaging. So yes, that’s pretty good.In March we had the 3rd highest vaccination rate, and now we are 18th.
Not great.
"Enough" is relative.
All I wanted was for people to understand their risks and make the right decision for themselves. Given the rate of hospitalizations in the US these last few months, I'd say that many did not appreciate the risk and it wasn't "enough"

Perhaps. You got a knees and bookeeper thumbs up! Nice!If you truly believe this to be true, I wouldn't want to lose out on an opportunity to remind you how serious you take yourself.
What’s my nonsense when it comes to basketball and other school/sports opinions?Hes so busy spewing non-sense on piratecrew.
I will say social media is useless. Anyone who is influenced or get their news from Facebook is most likely a moron.
