The roster is what it is. Not going to bash anyone on it. The last 3 halves of basketball they competed more than I thought they did previously. I just hope next year we pay more attention to dribbling, passing and shooting.

I agree.

I thought the experienced players would be much better than they are and thought the younger inexperienced players that had moments elsewhere would have been more ready than this. Neither was true. Also Sha seemed befuddled by the whole thing early, scrambling to find combos.

I think this is fair. I thought it would be better as well, and maybe we are surprised conference-season like last year.

Even Coleman, I'm not sure if games like yesterday are a true reflection of his abilities and growth or simply because we don't have other viable options. I think he's probably in the category you list above, but if he was on another team with more talented wings and guards, would he be more of a 10-15 minute rotation guy right now as opposed to 25+, or perhaps somewhere in between (a kid who plays 25 one night, and 14 the next).

My thought is I don’t think Sha agrees with you based off his rotations, starters, subbing patterns in the OOC 🤣.

If he did Coleman would get the most minutes and more of em hardly leaving the floor. The big east quality depth players you listed would also play more than they do and the not big east material would play less.

While okorafor has been taking heat from both Sha (on national tv) and from the fans on this board, I think he can be a back up center in the big east playing 10-15 minutes.

Felton has potential be a major contributor by his junior year if somehow he stayed till then.


If we somehow kept. Coleman, Dual, Middleton, Okorafor/Godswill, Felton and picked up a top notch PF and Combo transfer, I would be super pumped for next year. Maybe a slimmed down Yalden at PF would be nice too for his “soph “ year.

Agree with your categories, although I’m pretty confident that Dual will finish the season in the “starter” category.

Zooming out, our starting lineup against Rutgers was:

1.A bench player for bad Boston College team last year.
2. A bench player for a horrendous Louisville team last year.
3. A bench player for a mediocre Providence team last year.
4. The 5th best player on last year’s SHU team.
5. The 6th best player on last year’s SHU team.

In retrospect, I feel kind of dumb for thinking this team would be better than 10th in the league.
