One hundred years ago today, the miracle of the sun occurred at Fatima, as promised by Our Lady of the Rosary. The sun could be viewed with no eye damage, and the sodden earth and sopping wet clothes were dry when the orb returned to its place in the sky. Even atheists and communists who were present to mock the lack of the promised miracle were in awe. She said her Divine Son was hurt by the terrible sins being committed. I shudder to think to think of how He views us today. A good day to grab the beads, but what day isn't?

And 64 years later on May 13 – the anniversary of the initial apparition – Our Lady saved Pope John Paul II's life, while fulfilling Fatima's third secret prophecy.
