Donor Matching Day set for April 30
Help Pirate Blue reach its goal of receiving a donation from each of the 50 U.S. States on April 30.

South Orange, N.J. -- Mark your calendar because the Pirate Blue Athletic Fund's fourth annual Donor Matching Day is set for Thursday, April 30, and all gifts received by Pirate Blue that day will be generously matched at 30% by one anonymous donor, and another anonymous donor will give a gift of $50,000 if at least one supporter from each U.S. State makes a gift.

This year, the Pirate Sports Network will have a live show celebrating Donor Matching Day from 1-4 p.m. The show, hosted by John Fanta, will feature live updates about the donations, live interviews with coaches, student-athletes and donors and more.

Donations can be made at PirateBlue.com beginning at 12:01 a.m., on the 30th or in person at Walsh Gymnasium. Supporters who come to Walsh Gymnasium to make their donation are welcome to join Seton Hall student-athletes, coaches and administrators in Walsh Gymnasium during the day for some fun and light refreshments. Donors can win prizes throughout the day!

Seton Hall faculty, administrators, and staff can utilize payroll deduction to make a contribution on Donor Matching Day. Please fill out the form and deliver it in person on April 30 to Walsh Gymnasium.

Last year, donations poured in non-stop for 24 hours from nearly 450 alumni, family and friends of Seton Hall Athletics, adding up to over $193,000 and setting a new Pirate Blue single-day record for contributions. Pirate Blue hopes to exceed this record this year with your support!

I like to think that I am as about level headed as it gets around here. I am relatively young professional and I have donated (minimal but what I could do) the last 3 years.

With that said, can't happen this year. We have become a disaster and it gets worse every day. Not to mention the school charges me $5 every time I need to send out a transcript (normal schools are $3). Also, they charged us for blue books which is inconceivable to be honest.

So as this disaster continues (and seemingly enlarges itself daily) I cannot donate.

I also apologize if this isn't the place to place this type of post.
