This story is a followup to the previous story.
As noted my first experience with Gonzo at Seton Hall could not have gone better. The second one, almost a year to the date, not so much.
This time I was with PirateSal and a few friends. We were again in the Rec Center watching AAU teams playing. The stands were filled with coaches and spectators just as they were the previous year.
On court 1 was a game everyone wanted to see. The Gibbs family were playing a NY team (forgot their name) who had some SHU targets on the roster. Almost every person in the Center surrounded the court. If you didn't you would not be able to see much of the game as the stands further back were not high.
During play, we were standing by the corner, all of a sudden from behind someone grabbed my shirt by the neck and violently pulled me back. My first instinct without looking was to turn around and deck the person. Fist closed I turned and it was Gonzo. He was yelling at everyone after he grabbed me to get back. No one knew who he was and everyone started to laugh at him as he was basically just a spectator. I was just unlucky that he grabbed me as there was hundreds of people surrounding the court, 2, 3 deep.
I never told this story to Gonzo once I got to know him well. But it was always in the back on my mind.
