Those Explosions in South Jersey you hear

are the heads of fans of a certain BIG basketball team. The love they are showing for their coach may well be greater than what's his name has been getting here and AJ's one of their own. Yikes! I have suggested that their AD either stays consistent and extends EJ's contract or hire a coach he's comfortable with - bet you'll ever guess who?

Sad thing is they're attacking players as not being BIG level players and throwing one or more of them under the bus. Sad. Has nothing to do with attitudes or off court problems. They're also claiming OSU ran up the score on them - 64 points? Hey when you only score 31, what do want? Wow! What really gripes them was the OSU bench sighing at them. What's new? They've been the laughing stock of D-1 basketball (and football) for 3 decades! They're getting what they deserve. Gotta love it, but gotta feel bad for those fans (Knights 1212, BK etc) that have been class acts over the years. But posters like rat, ru66, Cali et al hahaha! Let the transfers begin.

That program is so bad right now that it's actually not even fun to make fun of it. Don't get me wrong: I'm fine with it if they are never able to get off the mat, but in terms of gloating, it kind of feels like clubbing baby seals.

Multiple events conspired to put them where they are today. Pushing out Waters to beat us to the Freddie Hill punch was a major miscalculation, compounded by the disastrous Mike Rice hire. They are still bottoming out right now from that, and the clumsy hire of Eddie Jordan, who was a terrible NBA coach, isn't going to do anything to make things better. All the while, the university has kind of let the program flounder financially, and the move to the Big Ten was yet another disaster from a basketball point of view. Terrific for football (theoretically, as long as winning isn't a top priority), but kids in this area do not want to play hoops in a Midwestern conference.

On the bright side for them, can you imagine how bad they would seem if they were still in the old Big East? I mean, there are Michigan State and Maryland and a few other good teams there, but imagine this Rutgers team trying to navigate the gauntlet of the late 2000s Big East? The bottom of that league was probably weaker than the bottom of today's Big Ten, but there were almost no breathers, and the top teams were just unbeatable.
