Now that we get to the rim and don't worry about shooting tons of threes we have become the kind of team that can win some games. Get to the line, cause foul problems, rebound at both ends. It's a much more aggressive way to play than jacking threes with a hope and a prayer. Combine that with the in your face defense and we're back to playing ball the way we did when we had our great teams.

Exactly. Defense and rebound can be brought every game. Outside shooting cannot.

We do need improvement on the defensive glass though. The team does very well in following shots and attacking the offensive glass, but we're suspect in protecting the defensive rim.

While it will never be the main focus with this team, we still need to develop some ability to hit more three's. Whitehead is capable of hitting them at a higher percentage. Carrington could eventually be a good outside shooter--but probably not this year. Desi has a good outside shot.

Without the ability to shoot over zones, we are going to get shut down by teams that clog the lane. It just seems that we don't have enough ball movement to facilitate open looks. I am hoping our ball movement and player movement off the ball will improve.

Also, I believe we have some guys who could become adept at mid-range jumpers, which would help pull defenders away from the basket.
