Tibbling, Dahn Named All-East Region First Team - Seton Hall University Athletics

WASHINGTON – Juniors CJ Tibbling (Jarna, Sweden) and Luca Dahn (Kahl, Germany) were both named United Soccer Coaches All-East Region First Team honorees on Tuesday. Tibbling, a forward, and Dahn, a defender, are the first Pirates to be named to an all-region team since 2007 when Eliseo Giusfredi was a second team selection. Both Tibbling and Dahn were also members of the All-BIG EAST First Team.
Tibbling led the Pirates with seven goals and 17 points on the season to go along with three assists. The seven tallies for Tibbling were good enough for second in the BIG EAST and 20th in the country. The Sweden-native scored three game winning goals for the Pirates including the game-winner in the Pirates' BIG EAST Tournament Championship and NCAA Tournament victory over Air Force.
Dahn helped anchor a Pirates defense that was the best in the BIG EAST at preventing shots on net and gave the Pirates a goal differential of +20, second best in the conference. The first-year Pirate logged over 1500 minutes for The Hall and was on the pitch for all but nine minutes throughout the season. The center back also tallied twice for The Hall while registering 12 shots on net, second best on the team.
Both Tibbling and Dahn helped guide the Pirates to one of the best seasons in program history. The Pirates won their first BIG EAST Tournament since 1991 while reaching as far as the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals for only the second time in school history and first since 1988. The squad also reached as high as the No. 6-spot in the national polls, also the second highest in program history.
The duo becomes the 61st and 62nd All-Region selections while serving as the 32nd and 33rd First Team members in men's soccer history. This is the first All-Region selection for either Tibbling or Dahn.
